dream it’s possible…
to find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
It’s a diagnosis no one wants to hear and no one wants to give. In 2010, it was estimated that over 43,000 Americans were diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and over 36,000 wouldn’t make it to their next birthday. As the 4th leading cause of cancer-related death in the US, pancreatic cancer is the only one that still has a single digit survival rate. In 40 years, the survival rate has only increased from 3% to 6%. In fact, the average life expectancy after diagnosis is only three to six months.
When you research pancreatic cancer on the internet, it can extinguish one’s hope. Everything is very bleak and provides minimal resources and information on successful treatment options. We are working to change that.
For many, hope doesn’t seem to be possible, but it is.
HOPE IS HERE
One of the most common reactions to a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer is that there is nothing that can be done. What if we told you that this is not true? What if you had access to resources, physicians and clinical trials that could not only extend your life, but possibly cure you of pancreatic cancer? Would you fight?
We would and we do. Every dollar we raise goes directly to clinical trials that have proven highly successful in extending the survival rate and point to discovering a cure within our lifetime.
