Foster Kids School Supply Wish List

According to statistics, with every school change, a foster child loses 4 to 6 months of academic progress; twice as many kids in foster care in both elementary and secondary school repeat a grade; and foster children are twice as likely to drop out of high school. These facts demonstrate that foster children are faced with hurdles in school that often become roadblocks to their success. That’s why Sleep Train, the number one bedding specialist on the West Coast, is asking its community of businesses and individuals to help foster children be equipped with the right tools to succeed in school.

To help you select the items these children need most, we’ve provided a top ten list of wishes directly from foster children. You can help make these wishes come true by hosting a donation drive or dropping off any of the items listed below to your nearest Sleep Train location – now through September 6th.

Don’t forget, you’re shopping for both ELEMENTARY and HIGH SCHOOL-AGE children!
