Sleep Train became an employee owned company in 2010 with the introduction of a new Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). All qualified employees now share in Sleep Train’s growth and prosperity by obtaining shares of the company at no cost to them. The ESOP plan is an addition to the company’s existing successful 401k plan. Sleep Train is proud to be able to share the success of the company directly with the people that work so hard every day. ESOP’s are established to inspire a sense of ownership in the company within employees, enabling them to strive for a common goal of success, which in turn benefits them upon retirement.
Sleep Train emphasizes a "team" concept, and encourages employees to work together to solve problems, make improvements, and plan group events. Sleep Train sponsors many social activities for employees, including concerts, barbeques, employee appreciation parties, leadership retreats, dinners, and company picnics.
