Why Foster Kids?
Over 60,000 California children find themselves living in foster care at any given time, many of which have entered with little to no possessions. While foster parents are paid a monthly stipend to help support the costs of raising a child, that stipend would need to increase by an average of 46% to meet all of the needs of a growing child.
Sleep Train’s collection drives help foster organization and parents immediately provide essential items that all children need. When foster children receive these new clothes, shoes, pajamas and school supplies, it creates a positive experience in what can be a challenging or scary time.

Sleep Train Foster Kids Clothing Drive On Now Through June 23, 2013!
For over 60,000 California foster children growing up is an important milestone, but it also means having to replace clothes that are too small or worn out. When a child has clothes that fit properly and look good , it builds positive self-image and esteem. To help Sleep Train is collecting new clothes for infants, toddlers, youth and teens. Just bring your donation of new pants, shirts, tops and skirts to any Sleep Train or donate online and we’ll do the shopping for you.

For many foster children nights can feel long and lonely when they’re away from familiar faces and places. Even something as simple as a pair or warm pajamas can make the nights a little easier.
