August 10, 2012 – Sacramento – Starting today, Sleep Train, the number one mattress retailer on the West Coast, is looking for 40 new employees in the Bay Area to fill sales positions and will be accepting applications through October 5th. The company’s significant search is in response to healthy sales growth in its newly opened stores in Napa and San Mateo and in preparation for the opening of an additional two to three new locations in the Bay Area by year-end.
“Our business is booming in this market, driving the demand for a larger sales staff in existing stores as well as new sales people for additional new store locations,” said Matt Anderson, vice president of training and development at Sleep Train. “We’re excited to be growing our employee-owned team and are looking for individuals who wish to be part of a motivated, talented team and fun, thriving company.”
Sleep Train offers new employee-owners an extensive five-week training program, comprehensive benefits, and an emphasis on corporate philanthropy with paid-time for volunteering. Those hired can look forward to participation in the company’s employee stock ownership program after 12 months of employment and rapid advancement with the chance to attend an annual leadership retreat. Interested candidates can submit applications through October 5, 2012 on Sleep Train’s website here or apply in-person at the Sleep Train San Leandro store open house on Thursday, August 30th from 10 a.m. to 6 pm.
